Job Summary: 

Inogen is centralizing project management via the establishment of its Transformation Management Office (TMO). This is a unique opportunity to help build this organization from the ground up while immediately jumping in to lead critical commercial projects in the business.  

In alignment with Inogen’s strategy and strategic priorities, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Program Manager to join our TMO at Inogen. This role is pivotal in managing and driving the successful execution of complex commercial programs, ensuring alignment with our organization’s strategic goals and commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams, sales, marketing, and business stakeholders, driving projects that contribute to our company's growth and success. 

Reporting to the Vice President (VP) of the TMO, you will significantly contribute to the success of Inogen and build capabilities and execute programs that shape the future of the company. 

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job) 

  • Contribute and utilize standardized templates and processes for the TMO.
  • Take projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Aid in the management of Inogen’s project roadmap and enterprise program roadmap.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of priority commercial programs in the TMO and serves as project manager between business teams. Defines project scope and objectives.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to direct the analysis of, and solution to problems; meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports.
  • Responsible for specific project and overall program deliverables.
  • Prepare for, conduct, and document outcomes and actions from project meetings.
  • Manage and track project financials, including internal staff and external vendors
  • Ensure deliverables meet project requirements; review deliverables with business stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
  • Manage 3rd-party relationships as needed.
  • Manage and execute projects end-to-end, whilst driving integration and optimization of all corresponding components, documentation, processes, and deliverables.
  • Define, schedule, and accurately estimate the task duration to develop and maintain a realistic schedule on projects.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of projects and use a data-driven approach leading to the implementation of potential solutions.
  • Manage issues and risk, identify problems and risks, work towards resolving them quickly.
  • Manipulate and interpret large datasets to deliver actionable insights to business teams.
  • Develop and implement detailed and accurate reports for the business and management team, providing visibility into performance against key business objectives and to support business decisions.
  • Guide stakeholders in defining and delivering clear requirements to identify, prioritize and scope projects to deliver against business objectives.
  • Interpret business challenges, create process mapping, analyze potential improvements, and translate these into best practices and solutions.
  • Evaluate and assess project strengths, weaknesses, and risks.
  • Monitor projects and oversee project managers to ensure goals are met.
  • Ensure identification, execution, and maintenance of change management procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Experience and Education) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in program management focusing on commercial outcomes required.
  • Proven experience in managing large complex projects and cross-functional initiatives, with a preference for experience in med-tech or biopharma.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large complex projects and implementations of cross-functional initiatives, required. Leading process optimization, business transformation, or strategic initiatives, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams.
  • Exceptional project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working across various teams and organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align technical efforts with business goals.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software; PMP or similar certifications are a plus.
  • A combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
