Job Summary:  

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of our grounds, buildings, and facility equipment in order to attain maintenance goals and the company objectives. This position will schedule, plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical or mechanical system and appliances.
  

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job) 

  • Adhere to the Inogen corporate model: S-DQIP- Safety, Delivery, Quality, Inventory, and Productivity.
  • Carries out scheduled maintenance examinations and fixes, cleans and align diverse systems to guarantee appropriate system operations in a safe manner.
  • Arranges repairs on electronic and wiring components affiliated with programmed building management operations.
  • Perform the tasks required to maintain the daily operation of the Operations facilities multiple. This includes, but is not limited to, performing preventative maintenance on equipment (compressors, generator, refrigeration units, forklifts) seeking furniture solutions, providing associates with basic office assistance (hanging whiteboards, pictures and furniture adjustments) and coordinating electrical, lighting, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, fire alarm systems with respective trades.
  • Work with different vendors, departments, people to coordinate repairs, maintenance activities, improvements, audit equipment for the Operations facilities and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain and operate within budgetary guidelines. Requests quotes for goods and services and manage labor cost associated with maintenance and repair.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow
  • Develop and schedule all preventive maintenance for all Operations departments.
  • Measuring performance of facilities’ compliance within the business to establish standards.
  • Manages reports and records as well as explain the actions and procedures carried out with the suggested solutions.
  • Demonstrating operational knowledge of facilities. Proactively contribute to continuous improvement of environmental and safety efforts.
  • Establishing audit guidelines for the operations facility. Perform weekly interior and exterior inspections of each facility (interior to include primary conference rooms, customer-facing areas and common areas, and inspect facilities for carpet stains, marks on walls that need touch-up, damaged or stained ceiling tiles, bent or broken window blinds, etc. ; exterior to include exterior lighting, chipped or peeling paint, landscape or irrigation issues, etc.)
  • Responsible for the 5S of the area, insure all maintenance equipment is in proper working condition and available for the support of machine uptime.
  • Act as liaison for coordination of physical moves (smaller projects) of the Operations equipment and office moves.
  • Some travel between local facilities may be required.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned.

  • Mastery of interpretation of documents involving maintenance instructions, sketches, plans blueprints, procedure manual, service contracts, and safety rules
  • Excellent speaking dexterity in the presence of employees or group of clients or vendors

Qualifications (Experience and Education) 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment, required.
  • 5 years’ experience in vendor management, preferred.
  • Facilities Management Certification, preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge/proficiency Microsoft Office, required.
  • A combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
